The Experience

Learn what horses can show you about how you connect and lead.

This is a guided, hands-on morning with horses, not a riding lesson or horse-training clinic. Through simple activities on the ground, you will see how horses respond to your presence, body language, boundaries, and requests.

You will leave with a better understanding of horse communication and practical insight into how you build trust, communicate clearly, and lead in your everyday life.

Connection

Experience how trust grows through attention, consistency, and respect, with horses and with people.

Communication

See how your body language, intention, timing, and boundaries affect the response you receive.

Leadership

Practice making a clear request, noticing the response, and adjusting with confidence rather than force.

How We’ll Explore

What you will actually do.

You will work with the horses from the ground in a small, guided group. Depending on the horses and the group that day, you may:

  • Observe and read horse body language
  • Groom, brush, and spend quiet time together
  • Practice leading and communicating from the ground
  • Explore personal space, boundaries, and clear requests
  • Offer feed or a treat when appropriate

Horses are living beings, so the exact activities may shift in response to their comfort, energy, and wellbeing.

Who It’s For

For anyone who wants a more meaningful experience with horses.

Come if you have loved horses your whole life and want to deepen the connection, if you are finding your way back to them, or if you have always wanted the chance to be around them.

No horse experience is required. You will be guided throughout, and you may participate at your own comfort level.

A Few Questions

Do I need horse experience?

No. The experience is designed to be meaningful whether horses are already part of your life, you are returning after time away, or this is your first close encounter. Guidance is provided throughout.

Will we be riding?

No. Everything is ground-based. We will work beside the horses through observation, interaction, grooming, leading, and facilitated exercises.

Do I have to participate in every activity?

No. You are always welcome to observe or step back. Respect for your boundaries and the horses’ boundaries is part of the experience.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes and sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots. We will be outdoors and around horses, so choose clothing that can handle a little dust.

What if the weather is bad?

We may continue in manageable weather. If weather, air quality, horse welfare, or another condition makes the workshop unsafe, you will be notified and offered a rescheduled date or a refund.

Horse + Human Connection Workshop

Spend two hours with the horses. Leave with something useful.

Experience the horses up close, understand more of what they are communicating, and discover what their honest responses can teach you about connection, boundaries, and leadership.
